Photography and myself have been together for a long time!!! Growing up I owned the family camera and was often in charge of capturing pictures for special events and family photos!! After high school I worked at the Sears Portrait Studio first as an associate and later as a manager where I realized the excitement of capturing that “perfect” portrait! Through my work here I met a couple who after doing their engagement pictures asked me if I would photograph their wedding! I was a little nervous but mostly just excited and the pictures turned out great!!! After this I did a few weddings each year but I had moved on to a job selling cars full time for a local dealership and was not able to take very many Saturdays off:(
But all that has changed now, I have spent the past few years as a mother first to an adorable son and more recently to a baby girl:) This has allowed me more time to focus on photography and this year I f ind myseld busier than ever with weddings! FUN FUN FUN! Its been great and I can’t wait for it to continue. each new couple, each new wedding morning brings on more ideas for creativity and I’m always learning! I absolutely love this job (f you can call it that!) and look forward to the future of Danyse Van Dam Photography:)
